11 Intelligence for Commissioners CCG Intelligence Requirements

12 CCG Intelligence Requirements – progress to date Following wide spread engagement the intelligence requirements of the CCGs have been identified and depicted in the Commissioning Intelligence Model (CIM) and supporting report (January 2012) Since the release of the CIM work has been on-going with partner organisations (Public Health/Local Authority Core Offer, the IC, DHID etc) to identify a delivery model for supporting CCGs in accessing tools, services and data.

16 NHS CB Intelligence Requirements – Intelligence tool Ongoing engagement with business in relation to intelligence requirements and executive dashboard. Outline executive dashboard being presented at Future Designs Group (FDG) in June, and Board in July. Project delivery and governance mechanisms being set up in May to ensure delivery of fit for purpose tool by Feb 2013.

18 Developing a partnership The CBA is leading in the development of a partnership to commission services from the IC It may well buy services from other intermediaries as well Organisations who have been invited include: Care Quality Commission (CQC) Department of Health (DH) Monitor Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) Public Health England (PHE)

19 Progress Senior level discussion and agreement – To proceed with the development of the partnership To simplify and better manage the funding of the IC Working with the IC – To develop a common process to manage new/changed information requests To properly identify the cost of services
