2 Important things to remember 1.When leaving a screen or form use the “return” icon. 2.Refresh is your friend. 3.If the grade does not show up you must go to the form information section and make sure the date in the yellow box next to current placement in center of page is within the placement dates. 4.If you have a question try the wikispace: www.sedelcospecialed.wikispaces.com www.sedelcospecialed.wikispaces.com 5.The system is not out to get you. 6.Child count comes quickly. a.All IEP must be finalized by November 20, 2013 b.No new ones are to be created between 11/20 and 12/2 7.ESY dates are approximately 6/23/13-7/31/13, but this may change. 8.3 invites must be created and finalized on the system to show due diligence. 9.All IEP packets must be completed with a transmittal and sent to the ESC within 10 business days of the meeting.

3 Managing Your Caseload Click on student management. Then click “manage an existing student”

4 Search for the student by last name. When you locate that student hover your pointer over the gray caseload box. The display will read “click to add to your caseload.” Click on the box and that child will be assigned to you.

5 If there is a student on your caseload that is not yours, complete the same steps as before but click on the caseload box that says “Click to assign to another staff’s caseload.”

6 1. On the Placement Summary page, end the last placement on the day of the IEP meeting. a. You cannot start and IEP on the same day as the meeting. b. This day must be 1 year minus 1 day prior to the date of the end of the current IEP. c. Create the new placements using 6/20 and 9/2 as the end and start dates. 2. Create the invitation. a. Always use the “other” option. b. Make sure you indicate in the text box that this is an c. invitation to an annual IEP review or a revision. This is the first notice and is being sent to parents via (_______). d. Choose all members of the team. a. You must have the following members: Parent Student if 14 or older LEA Regular education teacher Special education teacher c. FINALIZE document when you are done. 3. Create the IEP a. Choose the meeting from the drop down list. b. Fill in all sections of the IEP including the placements. c. We always use 6/20 and 9/2 d. When you are finished with the IEP and ready to print, click “print preview” e. Fix all validation errors and click the “reset validation results” icon in the validation section of the menu column on the left. 4. Create the NOREP/WPN (if you create the NOREP before the placements are completed in the IEP you will have problems). If there are placements on the NOREP that do not belong there follow these steps: a. Click on the Form Information Icon under Maintenance on the left menu bar. b. Make sure the dates in the boxes reflect the IEP dates.

7 Always use the “OTHER” option. 2. Create the invitation and finalize it.

8 3. Create IEP by selecting the invitation information in the dropdown box.

9 4. Create NOREP A.Select IEP to link to create the NOREP. B.Finalize the NOREP when you are done.

10 1.Click on the “Reporting” icon at the top of the screen 2.Click on “run a report” 3.Choose the type of report 4.Make sure the date at the top falls within 9/2 and 6/20 or you will not have any students. 5.Export to PDF.
