4 What you can do Homework and research Give time to plan any visit (2 months minimum) Contact Embassies in Dublin/London Consider engaging a consultant on the ground Major firms have Dar offices Agri-sector expertise available also – feasibility study Set up your own business meetings Don’t rush it when you do get over. Go beyond the capital.

5 Example visit 7-10 days across Kenya and Tanzania Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, regional towns (agri-business) Meetings (assistance from Embassy) with: Ministries (Agriculture, Industry and Trade, Livestock and Fisheries etc) Investment promotion agencies Confederation of Trade and Industry Private sector association Local and Irish business Your own contacts Site visits – agri-business, processing plant etc
