6 1891 -1899: The first meteorological measurements and observations in Macedonia were carried out in Skopje; 1947: The Hydrometeorological Service in Republic of Macedonia was officially established as federal state of Y. 1978: Developed in Republic Hydrometeorological Service, a governmental organization of essential importance for carrying out activities in meteorology and hydrology. 1992: The Law on Hydrometeorological Matters. 1993: Republic of Macedonia as independent country, became a permanent member of the WMO
