17 Part Seven: Speaking ---Where is it?  Let’s get to some expressions of giving directions: Useful Expressions Location and position Right next door to the pizza shop is a clothing store. Across the street from the clothing store is a pharmacy. I live across from the supermarket. I live very close to the train station. There’s a post office down the road. The book store lies in the middle of the block. It’s on Albany Avenue. It’s on the corner of Bloor Street and Albany Avenue.

18 Role play:  Here’s a map of our university. Look at it and work with your desk-mate. You’re supposed to play the role of a freshman and a upperclassman asking for and giving directions.

19 Game time:  Make up a group of four, and each member prepares a short description of a certain place on campus. The rest guess what it is based on the given information.
