3  County-operated facilities, which hold juvenile offenders for up to 30 days.  Once a juvenile has been waived to adult court, he or she is automatically charged in adult court in the future.  The Wisconsin Department of Corrections operates three secure juvenile correctional facilities.

4  Any case pertaining to a minor.

5  DeShaney v. Winnebago County was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States on February 22, 1989. The Court held that a state government agency's failure to prevent child abuse by a custodial parent does not violate the child's right to liberty for the purposes of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.  Wisconsin v. Jackson: 15 when charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide. On May 28, 2008, Jackson fired a gun at Christopher Brown and missed. Several people were present when crime occurred and identified him as shooter. He was tried as an adult. He denied being the shooter.
