5. 1:1 ROLLOUT DIGITAL LEARNING PROGRAM This year, every third through fifth grade student in the district will receive an iPad for his or her educational use during the school year. 8. HOMEWORK All assignments are written in their planners EVERY DAY! Also available on my website for your review under “Weekly Homework Calendar” tab. Homework is to be done at home and brought in the following day unless otherwise specified. May include unfinished work from the day. Looks different this year due to transition to Common Core.

9. DISCOVERING LITERATURE Our year goal: 40 books per student They can read any book they want as long as it is grade-level appropriate. Document their progress with their Reading Log and Progression Chart Comprehension check through journal responses Book Presentations – every 7 weeks

In California, the State Board of Education decides on the standards for all students, from kindergarten through high school. The California Department of Education helps schools make sure that all students are meeting the standards.
