Have the students copy the timeline in their Interactive Student Notebook and have them add details to explain the date/event and add a picture to explain the date.  Show videos from BrainPop and Discovery Streaming and administer the quizzes about the events leading to the writing of the Declaration of Independence.  Have students create flyer and/or posters encouraging people to rebel.  Students create a two or three person skit discussing the events leading to the Declaration of Independence.  Students plan and perform a debate about whether to declare independence or not to declare independence.
