ABiSee proprietary and Confidential After you pressed Action button, you hear: “Press Scan Button to read a page.” Before you scan, make sure your Device stand vertically (up right), with Home Button on the top of the device. Now, place a document under the device so it will fit horizontally. Use the base of the device as a guide and place the long side of the paper so that it is aligned with the length of the base. 5. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential After you position a document under the device, Press scan button to Scan the document. You’ll here 1-3 ping sounds and a shutter sound – the device is making a picture of your document. Once the picture is made, the device start instantly reading the text. 6. Wheel ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to use Buttons while in Reading Mode : Scroll the Right Wheel up and down to jump from one line to another. Scroll the Left Wheel to zoom in and out size of text. Turn Clockwise or Counter Clockwise the Volume Knob to increase or decrease the volume, respectively. Press the Action Button when you need either to stop reading or to resume reading after it was stopped. Press the Back Button to turn the lights On and Off. Press the Right Daisy Button to jump from one word to another going forward. Press the Left Daisy Button to jump from one word to another going backward. Press the Top Daisy Button to return to the top line of the Document Press the Bottom Daisy Button to go to the bottom line of the Document.

7. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Reading Mode, Speed, Voice, Font, Font Size, and Contrast Press the Home button to return to the Main Menu. You’ll hear the Device reading: “Main Menu. Scan and Read”. Use your right Wheel to select Settings. Press Action Button to confirm your selection. You will here the Device reading: “General Settings”. This is the selection you need. Press Action button to confirm your selection.

8. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Reading Speed Your Device will announce: “Reading Speed”. This is the selection you need. Confirm your selection by pressing Action Button. Reading Speed measures on a scale from Zero to Ten, where 1 is the slowest and 10 is the fastest. The device will announce what is your reading speed now. Use your Right Wheel to scroll up and down and select the speed your are comfortable with. The device will announce you Reading Speed value, as you scroll. Once you select a comfortable Reading Speed, Press Action Button to confirm your selection. You will be returned to the General Settings Menu. You will here again “Reading Speed”.

ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Reading Mode If you are still in General Settings Menu and just heard “Reading Speed” announced by the Device, use your Right Wheel to select “Reading Mode”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. If you are not sure about your location, Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, use your Right Wheel to Select “Settings”, then General Settings. Confirm each selection by Pressing the Action Button. Now you are ready to use your Right Wheel to select “Reading Mode”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. The Device will Announce “Voice Mode”. By Default, the Device is Working in Voice Mode. Using your Right Wheel, you may switch between the Voice Mode and the Text Mode. Press Action Button to Return to the General Setting Menu.

10. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Voice If you are still in General Settings Menu use your Right Wheel to select “Voice”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. If you are not sure about your location, Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, use your Right Wheel to Select “Settings”, then General Settings. Confirm each selection by Pressing the Action Button. Now you are ready to use your Right Wheel to select “Voice”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. The Device will announce the current Voice: “American English. Tom”. Use your Right Wheel To select the voice you like. Press the Action Button to confirm your selection. You will be automatically returned to the General Settings Menu.

11. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Font If you are still in General Settings Menu use your Right Wheel to select “Font”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. If you are not sure about your location, Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, use your Right Wheel to Select “Settings”, then General Settings. Confirm each selection by Pressing the Action Button. Now you are ready to use your Right Wheel to select “Font”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. The Device will announce the current Font: “Arial. Regular”. Use your Right Wheel to select a font. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. You will be returned to the General Setting Menu

12. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Font Size If you are still in General Settings Menu use your Right Wheel to select “Font Size”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. If you are not sure about your location, Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, use your Right Wheel to Select “Settings”, then General Settings. Confirm each selection by Pressing the Action Button. Now you are ready to use your Right Wheel to select “Font Size”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. You’ll be taken to the screen with font sizes available. The Device will announce current font size. Use your Right Wheel to scroll up and down and select the size you need. Press the Action Button to confirm size selection. You’ll be return to the General Setting Menu.

13. ABiSee proprietary and Confidential How to change Contrast If you are still in General Settings Menu use your Right Wheel to select “Contrast”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. If you are not sure about your location, Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, use your Right Wheel to Select “Settings”, then General Settings. Confirm each selection by Pressing the Action Button. Now you are ready to use your Right Wheel to select “Contrast”. Confirm your selection by pressing the Action Button. You will hear the Device announcing the Current Contrast: Black on White. Use your Right Wheel to select the right Contrast. Press Action Button to confirm the selection. You will be returned to the General Setting Menu.
