2 ACCURACY AND PRECISION SIG FIGS HAVE TO DO MORE WITH THE ACCURACY OF A MEASUREMENT THAN PRECISION. ACCURACY – HOW CLOSE A MEASUREMENT IS TO ITS ACCEPTED VALUE. PRECISION – HOW CLOSE A SET OF MEASUREMENTS ARE TO EACH OTHER.
