The poles (both Arctic and Antarctic) work as giant mirrors. When the sun shines down the Poles act as mirrors and reflect 90% of the heat back out to space. But as the Poles start to melt the mirror effect is less productive and the sun begins to heat the oceans. As the Earth begins to heat up more and more the sea levels will rise, natural disasters will occur, and impending death will be in escapable.
