25 23-Sep-1525 Highlights – Washington Section NCA History of Technical Societies Contest - In order to encourage IEEE Organizations (Area Chapters, Student Chapters, and Affiliate Groups) to broaden the NCA History of Technical Societies offerings to our membership, we will be conducting the History of Technical Societies National Capital Area’ contest. These technical societies have made a significant impact on the advancement of technology in through oral presentations, publications, workshops, and other activities. NCA Banquet – May 1 st at Crowne Plaza Silver Spring Dr. Guru Madhavan (Director) – DCCEAS Young Engineer of the Year to be recognized at DCCEAS Banquet February 27 Science and Technology Aptitude Recognition for Schools (STARS) Program - Objective is “to augment the continuing development of the nation's skilled workforce by encouraging early interest in Science through participation in Secondary School Programs promoting science projects” - Coordinated by Mr. Paul Hazan, W.A.S.
