2  “Allah” is the Arabic word meaning “the God,” many claim; yet the Quran states that it is the personal name of the singular god of Islam (017.110)  Has roots in paganistic polytheism, specifically regarding the Arabic moon-god Hubal  Described as unknowable, and that no one can claim fellowship with him  Also described as hating sinners and making no provision for reconciliation

3  YHWH is the name of God given in the Bible – Gen. 2:1-4  There exists God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – Matt. 28:18-20  He is loving and desires us to have a relationship with Him – 1 John 1:5-10

4  Muhammad was born circa 570 A.D. in Mecca; he became ill and died in 632 A.D.  He had thirteen wives and killed hundreds of people  Muslims claim he was the last prophet of Allah and that he ascended to Heaven  A wealthy slave owner and military leader

5  Jesus was born circa 4 B.C. in Bethlehem  He never harmed anyone; advocated peace – Matt. 5:38-45  He was God in the flesh; Prophet, Priest, and King – Heb. 5:7-10  A humble servant with no earthly possessions

6  The Quran is claimed by Muslims to have been revealed to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel gradually over about 23 years  It extols revenge (2:191), violence (2:216), and that Allah wills those that stray and are lost (16:93)  Teaches that salvation is earned by works

7  The Bible was written by over 40 authors over 1500 years, men who were inspired by God – 2 Pet. 1:20-21  With no contradictions, it shows God’s will and His love for all mankind – 1 Tim. 2:1-7  Teaches that God offers salvation as a free gift that man can either accept or reject – Eph. 2:4-10
