3 My Lai Massacre : March 16,1968 Lieutenant William Calley Jr.ordered US soldiers to kill South Vietnamese civilians. About South Vietnamese villagers were killed at My Lai.

4 My Lai Massacre : President Nixon called the massacre an isolated incident. After a reporter wrote the story, one of Calley’s soldiers asked the US House Armed Services Committee to investigate this event.

5 My Lai Massacre : Lieutenant William Calley, Jr., who commanded soldiers to kill civilians was put in prison. He felt guilty for what he did.

7 Massacre in Afghanistan War :
44 years after the Vietnam War March 11,2012 In the middle of the night around 3 A.M a U.S soldier opened fire on innocent Afghan civilians.

8 Massacre in Afghanistan War :
16 Afghan civilians were killed cruelly at Panjwai district. The U.S military will put this soldier on trial for this tragic event.

9 Massacre in Afghanistan War :
President Barrack Obama phoned Afghan president to express his shock. Obama offered help for those families who had loved ones killed.

10 Lessons Even though war is cruel, civilians are innocent. Soldiers should respect for civilians’ life. These two events let us know soldiers need more psychological training before they go to war.
