Business Proposal Ms. Debs Francisco-Dianco

What is vision statement? = by contrast, is not about what the company currently is, but what the company hopes to become. = the vision statement provides the direction for the company, while not inhibiting the development of the strategy that will allow the company to reach that lofty goal.

As an example: 1.a vision statement may acknowledge that the company already meets industry standards in customer support, 2. while at the same time setting goals for moving customer care to a higher level within a given time period.

What is mission statement? = is more concerned with the overall aim of the business, a simple statement of the company’s reason for being. = Often the statement will include verbiage that makes a pledge to deliver a superior product or service to customers on a consistent basis. = From this perspective, a mission statement is about maintaining a certain quality or attribute.

What is Philosophy?

= the term "philosophy" means, "love of wisdom.“ = In a broad sense, philosophy is an activity people undertake when they seek to understand fundamental truths about themselves, the world in which they live, and their relationships to the world and to each other.

Sample: Philosophy Statement I believe the children are our future... I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.

Sample: Imagine walking down a green path On an unknown journey With not a care in the world Other than exploration of one’s self And one’s connection to a world beyond time

THE PARTS OF A BUSINESS PLAN 1. COVER

Is the cover of the business plan really part of it? Good grief, guys… Yes, it is. Just as the cover of any magazine is part of it. Or the cover of any annual report. It's absolutely true that the same chocolate eclair can be inside a plain box, but I'll pick the box that says "Scrumptious, made just for you, utterly delicious French chocolate eclair."

2. TABLE OF CONTENTS Make it easy for the reader to find the information he wants.

3. INFORMATION ON THE COMPANY ITSELF 1. When was it formed? 2. What kind of company is it? 3. If it is a corporation, how many shares are issued? To whom? 4. If it is a partnership, who's involved? 5. Who formed the company? 6. If you aren't the founder, how did it come to be yours? 7. Who is presently involved? What is the nature of their involvement? 8. Add any other information that seems pertinent.

4. INFORMATION ON THE INDUSTRY 1. Show how the industry is growing. 2. Show how your company fits into the industry. 3. Include charts to visually show strength of industry. 4. Include demographic information.

5. BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION ON PRINCIPALS write a paragraph on each officer. That page is not a bio. It is a summary of accomplishments. If you haven't got a page of accomplishments, maybe you've got the wrong management team.

6. MARKETING PLAN 1. what makes you think you can promote this idea or product or service? 2. How will you go about it? 3. What will it cost? 4. What are other doing, and how can you compete with them? 5. If you have a history of successes, this is the place to shout about them.

7. FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS For existing companies, the rule of thumb is that you summarize by year the past 5 - 10 years, depending on your industry. Then project as for new companies. For new companies, project quarterly for the first year or two, then annually until the loan is comfortably paid back, or the investment has made a profit. The more you can put into charts for easy reference, the better.

Remember: The parts of a business plan need to look sharp, be concise, and provide all pertinent information.
