2 Boonie Hats  Boonie Hats offer protection for many environments. The wide brim offers protection from the sun and rain. They were mostly used for scout and recon missions when the solders wanted to be light and fast.  RA

7 Poncho A rubber coated fabric poncho with hood. Dyed olive green army shade 207. Known to become heavy when wet, and the shiny finish gleams in the rain. Two poncho's can be snapped together to make a shelter. A must have for its usefulness as a shelter or ground sheet. It is really hot and sweaty to use as a rain garment. Users often ended up as wet inside the poncho as they would have been without it. The poncho is a rubber coated fabric with a hood, that is dyed olive green army shade 207. When wet it was known to be heavy, also the finish that was applied to it would become shiny and gleam. You can use two ponchos to create a shelter by snapping them together. Users usually ended up soaked anyway. DY
