2 Page 2 LAITS Laboratory for Advanced Information Technology and Standards Reorganization of ISPRS In 2004 ISPRS Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, ISPRS is re- organized. –both technical commissions and their working groups are re- organized. –8 technical commissions are set and their charts are set. –The technical commissions have a 4-year life period. –The current ISPRS leadership and commission will be changed in Year The next ISPRS congress will be in Beijing China in July 2008

Terms of Reference The goal of the work in Commission III is to design, develop and evaluate mathematical models and methods for automatic –orientation and calibration of images, –surface reconstruction, –fusion of multi-modal data, –processing and interpretation of laser range data, –interpretation of images and –image sequence analysis with emphasis on –integration of geometry, statistics and semantics, –modeling of spatial objects and temporal events, –modeling context, –scale behaviour of appearance models, –use of graphical models, especially Markov random fields and Bayesian networks.
