Purpose A system designed to promote homework completion throughout each marking period Will help students organize and maintain accurate records of homework assignments Homework passes will be given using a positive reward system Homework Folder will be collected and graded at least twice throughout a marking period

3. Teacher’s Responsibility The teacher will… Assign homework as needed Designate a due date for each assignment Check for completion and sign off on homework on designated due date Announce when homework folder is due (may be one class or a week ahead of time – will vary) Collect and grade folder Distribute Homework Passes for the next folder collection if the student has completed all required assignments

4. Student’s Responsibility The student will… Complete each homework assignment when due Keep an accurate list of assignments Maintain organization of folder Turn in folder when due Keep homework pass for next folder collection – if pass is lost IT WILL NOT BE REPLACED by teacher

5. Positive Reward System If a student completes all assignments on the designated due date and turns in those assignments with a teacher’s signature then he/she will receive a homework pass. A homework pass can only be used for the NEXT homework folder collection. A homework pass will completely REPLACE an assignment If all assignments have been completed throughout the year then the teacher will drop the lowest quiz or critical reading grade of the 4 th marking period
