The heart (Gr. kardia) is the center of physical life (Lev. 17:11) – “the heart of the matter…”
The heart (mind, soul, spirit) in a figurative sense is the center and seat of one’s spiritual life
The heart of man functions in different ways (Mt. 9:4; 24:48; Mk. 2:6,8; Heb. 4:12)
We will study the gospels to see how the heart functions
We will study Acts and the rest of the NT to see how the heart functions relative to our salvation
