10. Admissions success An excellent Personal Statement will include, for example: Well reasoned, articulate motives for wanting to study subject backed by evidence of interest and commitment. Multiple examples of wider interest (attending university master class, summer school, lecture, visit to museums). A sophisticated understanding of how subjects studied at school and/or interests relate to chosen subject & department. Strong evidence of powers of analysis and expression, sophisticated vocabulary, error free. High level of critical thinking.
