3 Why study Spanish? Spanish is the official language of twenty countries worldwide and the fourth most-commonly spoken language in the world (by number of native speakers). Source: ElMundo.es Over 28 million people in the United States speak Spanish. Worldwide, there are nearly 325 million Spanish-speakers. Source: United States National Institutes of Health Many firms seek Spanish-speaking individuals and are willing to pay higher salaries for bilingual candidates.

13 Why U of A at UPAEP in Puebla, Mexico? Program takes place at the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado Puebla (UPAEP) and includes a five week summer course. University Language Center offers the Spanish Immersion Program (PITEE). This program combines the learning of the language and culture hand in hand. Top-notch academic and exercise facilities in a garden setting on a self- enclosed campus with wireless internet.
