Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research 3 days of collaboration and information sharing. Fourth day for Executive Meeting. Most of Day 1 and part of Day 3 SCADM and SCAGI will separate to conduct their own business. 3 guest speakers – over three days. Two speakers are from SCAR Science Projects, one speaker from Geoscience community. Meeting Overview

Gain a shared understanding of what we as peak data groups within SCAR are here to achieve. Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research Day 1 (Business) – F ocus is mainly on routine business of SCAGI or SCADM Day 2 (Training & Strategic Discussions) –Morning Training/Group Discussions on material presented. –Afternoon Exposure to some national approaches to SCAR data management. Refresher on what our new Strategy contains. Discussions surrounding some key implementation questionsStructure
Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research Structure Day 3 (Collaboration Opportunities) –Morning Community collaboration examples. Time for general discussion about how we can collaborate better. –Afternoon Introduction to the concept of a Polar Information Commons and how this fits with what SCADM/SCAGI are trying to achieve. Discussions on how we can all contribute. Some concrete planning on the way forward.
