2 Commissioning principles The Council is committed to promote fairness and transparency and is seeking to work with you as valued providers to continue to commission services from you in 2014/15 There is a need to harmonise and align pricing structures for Locally Commissioned Public Health Services across the county and Bassetlaw

3 Extension of contracts into 2014/15 Current contracts with the Council are due to expire on 31 March 2014 there is a need to extend these for a further 12 month period to 31 March 2015 with the exception of substance misuse services which have been extended for 6 months Have you signed your agreements?????

4 Procurement Plans 2014-15 All Public Health services are being or will be reviewed with a view to improve the services provided to our patients in order to provide consistency across the County and provide value for money Obesity Prevention & Weight Management Tender documents out in February 2014 New provider(s) from 1 August 2014 Substance Misuse Tender documents out in February 2014 New provider(s) from 1 October 2014

5 Claims Process Planning ahead ….….. please submit your Q4 claims by 10 APRIL 2014 (with the exception of smoking cessation) Our internal year end accounting and performance monitoring deadlines are still to be published Please look out for the amended claim form(s) to be used from 1 April 2014. Auditing and monitoring programmes are also being developed as we move into 2014-15

11 C Card distribution As from 1 st of April 2014 the responsibility for this service will transfer within the Local Authority to the Children’s Integrated Commissioning Hub, the only change will be where to submit your claims, you will shortly be notified of this by email. 12 Pharmoutcomes Local Authority unlike the NHS is not exempt from VAT, the local authority also require a vat invoice submitted for each payment. We have 2 options 1.Purchase orders would be raised and submitted to Public Health Contract and Quality Team for accuracy and accreditation checking, these would then be returned in order for an invoice to be raised by the pharmacy 2.A web based claims system for Community Pharmacist
