2 Passage for 1/6-1/10 READ and use this passage to answer each day’s question: Your body needs energy to grow and heal itself. Your body also needs energy to move and think. That energy comes from the food you eat. It also comes from what you drink. How can you tell how much energy you get when you eat and drink? You can look at the calories. Most foods and drinks have labels that tell you how many calories they have. That number tells you how much energy you could get from eating or drinking something. You need the right number of calories every day. Most kids need between 1,600 and 2,500 calories every day. Your doctor can help you decide how many calories you should get.
