2 Definition A condition where there is excess body weight due to an abnormal accumulation of fat. Defined objectively as a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or more. For e.g. this man on the sofa is clinically obese.

3 Facts Obesity is becoming the worlds biggest health problem. 9000 deaths a year in England alone. The number of obese children has tripled over the last 20 years. There are approximately 1.8 million overweight children and 700,000 obese children living in the U.K. Worldwide 155 million school age children are overweight or obese. 40-60% of children over the age of six spend less than the recommended minimum of one hour a day doing moderate intensity activities.

8 To conclude, do not and I repeat do not: Eat McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, fish and chips and Chinese. Watch more than 2 hours of TV a day. Drink lots of alcohol. The same goes for all household pets, they can be obese too.
