Rubber profile Water can pass ! Water doesn’t pass ! Due to their rigidity, profiles cannot compensate irregularities of the concrete. The profile has first to expand to seal these irregularities SikaSwell S-2 addapts to the irregularities during applications and therefore seals much faster !

Very easy !

41 Apply over the hardened concrete like an ordinary sealant !

42 Fresh Concrete should not be placed before 2-3 hours
Fresh Concrete should not be placed before 2-3 hours. The skin of the sealant is strong enough to protect from being flattered when concrete is poured from a hight of up to 50 cm.

43 If the hight is > 50 cm the curing time of SikaSwell S-2 should be at least 2 days.
During concreting care must be taken that SikaSwell S-2 is completely covered with a dense concrete without any honeycombs. This is best achieved by placing a mortar or fine concrete cover.

44 Is SikaSwell S-2 affected by rain after application?
Even if the product has been exposed to rain for 24 hours there is only a small expansion because of the initially slow reaction with water. Important: there should not be any standing water. In any event, it‘s better to protect SikaSwell S-2 from rain

45 20 m Although SikaSwell S-2 has been tested at waterpressures up to 5 bars it’s normally not recommended for water pressures higher than 2 bar because of the limited sealing distance. For higher pressures it can be used as adhesive for the Sika Injectoflex System or in conjunction with other waterproofing measures
