3 Dual Credit is a form of concurrent enrollment allowing a student to take certain courses at San Jacinto College that earn both college and high school credit. Students will typically take the year long sequence listed above and then pair another course with it each semester from the box above. Students take two courses per semester. You must sign up with Ms. Brannan by bringing her your printed PAA and G# in order to reserve a spot by March 21 st. 13 Family Education Rights and Privacy Act: Family Education Rights and Privacy Act: What is FERPA? What is FERPA? The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student educational records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. Does FERPA give me a right to see education records of my son or daughter who is in college? Does FERPA give me a right to see education records of my son or daughter who is in college? When a student turns 18 years old or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, all rights afforded to you as a parent under FERPA transfer to the student. What if my child asked me to register them or order a transcript? What if my child asked me to register them or order a transcript? Students are free to give their S.O.S log-in information to their parents if they wish. Math and Science must be taken in the afternoon because of the lab times. PM classes require students to provide their own transportation

18 9/17/2015www.sanjac.edu18 Important Points to Remember: All deadlines must be met. Classes will fill quickly, and students might not have the opportunity to participate. Payments must be made before drop date or students will be automatically dropped from the course. Receipt must be brought to the College Now office, located in the College Room, in order for the SHHS schedule to be updated for the fall. Be diligent….the enrollment process takes several days to complete.
