2. IEEE Section Outreach Committee Update & Outcomes l The SEOC held a face to face committee meeting on Friday, 15 June l The main focus of the meeting was to discuss the role of the Region Education Chairs with respect to EAB

IEEE Section Outreach Committee Update & Outcomes l Moshe & Anu will work on a draft job description for the Region & Section Education chairs and circulate it via email to the SEOC members to seek their input. l The SEOC identified the need to establish regular conference calls (or virtual community) to discuss product & services updates in order to get timely information out to their section members.

4. IEEE Section Outreach Committee Update & Outcomes l IEEE Education Society & EAB will continue to collaborate and coordinate in order to clarify the roles of each OU for the Region members l SEOC will help identify & review potential University and private Continuing Education providers for the IEEE Education Partners Program

5. IEEE Section Outreach Committee Update & Outcomes l IEEE Sections are encouraged to use Expert Now in Chapter meetings l Format: 1-2 modules are exhibited simultaneously in different rooms, with a local moderator l So far – a pilot in Region 10, planned events in Regions 5 and 8 l SEOC may pilot a program in two sections (one US and one international) where members are offered an Expert Now module at a discounted price as an incentive to promote early membership renewal
