2 FP7 May 2005 2 FP6 – the current situation In March 2005: l EU contribution to signed contracts totalled €5.6 billion l Participations in signed contracts totalled 23,000 l Excluding Mobility measures, each FP6 contract had double the number of partners of an average FP5 contract and received 3 times as much EU contribution l Higher education institutions have increased their participation rate by 7% l Business enterprise sector participation is down 5% compared with FP5
