5.  If a student shows signs of conjunctivitis, the parent will first be notified and asked to get doctor’s recognition if the student does have pink eye.  If the student does have pink eye, he or she will be required to miss school until all symptoms are gone and a doctor’s note permitting the child back into the classroom is accompanied with the child to the office.  When a student in a classroom is found to have pink eye, the teacher will clean and sanitize every door knob, desk, book, chair, etc.., with Lysol and notify all parents.
