4 19 October 2007 Page4 FOOD: noun any substance taken into and assimilated by a plant or animal to keep it alive and enable it to grow and repair tissue; nourishment; nutriment Food is the general term for all matter that is taken into the body for nourishment BUT: that’s all physical FOOD Mentally FOOD : Not substance, but Wisdom, Perception Food Have presence of mind, sensible, be conscious Balancing with nature, spiritual, wealth

6 19 October 2007 Page6 Start working with the underprivileged people They believed that nature is holy and given from god, such as: Ganga, Hindu Goddess of the Holy River Saraswati, in recent times a goddess of knowledge, music and the arts

As of NGO and Politician, I am are strongly believed that I am currently working with the physical underprivileged people but rich mentally. Rich in wisdom to live humanized with nature. (Small farmer, small fisherman)

8 19 October 2007 Page8 As of Ashoka fellow of Thailand, we are working to rejuvenate the resources such as forest, water source, and wet land. This will bring the knowledge from indigenous people to action and eventually change society from consuming society to simple life society

10 19 October 2007 Page10 Thailand Thai people already know that nature and capable of using and living with the nature: so to say use nature under the carry capacity.

11 19 October 2007 Page11 As of NGO and Politician of Thailand, we are proposing bill toward food security and food sovereignty. UNESCO, UNDP, UNFAO, UNICEF, UNEP. International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People. World Mountain People MDGs

12 19 October 2007 Page12 NOW:: Foods are filled with process industrial ingredients such as Flavor, Whitening (Sodium Hydrosulfite), Preservatives, Mono Sodium Glutamate. We are promoting toward good variety and non-toxic food (organic food). This policy is pushing by Ministry of Public Health

13 19 October 2007 Page13 Program: Grow vetiver grass for the preservation of top soil and increase soil fertility. Action Plan:

14 19 October 2007 Page14 Program: leveling down the use of chemical use in agriculture industry---  Better FOOD

15 19 October 2007 Page15 Law: protect waershed area, maximization use of natural resources, and community forest bill.

16 19 October 2007 Page16 Network: small farmer group, small fisherman network, and local political group These will help small people to have access to policy level person. Increase in Transparency, Check and Balance, accountibility and strengthen people’s politics.

17 19 October 2007 Page17 Preserve and develop indigenous seeds, plants, animal These will further help nourish Biodiversity Promoting human rights for ethnic minority group, immigrant and refugees.

18 19 October 2007 Page18 Corporate with local community environmental NGOs, Parliamentarians, and goverments to help rejuvenate international river such as Mae Khong, Salween river for food security poverty reduction and peace.
