Otherwise, you will not receive credit. - Choose one of the TEDtalks videos provided on my share drive/website under the Tedtalks Project tab about advancements in cancer treatment. - Screencast-o-matic Presentation (10 min) Will Include: - A PowerPoint about the basics of the TEDtalks video (5 min) - A 5 min clip from your TEDtalks video

3. Directions: 1. First, get your video approved. First come, first served for video choice. Cannot do the same video as another student in your class. 2. Watch the video and create a presentation with the following requirements:

4. Presentation Outline - Answer these questions while you watch the video. Take notes. Must Include: Main idea of the video Who was involved? What was discovered? Where? Why is this important to us? What type of cancer is involved in the study? How is this new/innovative? How does it improve upon our current understanding or treatment of cancer? Personal feelings/reflection

Slides to Include (Guideline): Start with a quote or interesting fact (slide 1) Overview/main idea (slide 2) Slides 3-4 Include the most interesting and important information Include your video clip either here or at the beginning Reflection/personal feelings (slide 5) Note: Be sure to include some pictures and make it visually appealing. Also, be conscious of your background color and font choice.

Screencast-o-matic: Go to http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/. http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/ You can use the one-click use on the home page (Click START RECORDING) or you can download the software. To Download: Click on Download + Install. **Watch the Quick Demo on the homepage to learn how to use the software (it’s pretty straightforward).

8. About your Video Should be between 10-11 minutes long. Speak clearly and at an appropriate pace. You can watch/listen to your screencast after you record it. Publish as a video file (an.mp4 file.) Email the file to me AND drag it into my Drop Folder with your name on it.

9. Recommended: Practice your presentation beforehand. Time yourself- it should be around 10 minutes. The more engaging and interactive the presentation is, the better. Be creative!
