4 Persuasive Pre- assessment Prompt Suppose that I let you choose our classroom pet, as long as most of the class agrees with you. What pet would you choose? Why do you think it’s the best choice for a classroom pet?

6 Grouping Options for Teachers whole class instruction:  ensures that all students receive same material  all students monitored for on-task behavior  student questions clarify understanding of the material  saves time

11 Prewriting 5 stages of the writing process 1.Prewriting - plan and organize thoughts/ ideas/ information before writing, graphic organizers Decide on: –your topic –genre of writing –purpose –audience Remember to write in phrases!
