5 CHAMP Policy All behaviors and expectations for your student will be explicitly taught and reinforced all year according to our CHAMP Program. 7 Dress Code Dress codes must be followed at all times. Students not in compliance will be asked to go to the nurse’s office for a change of clothes. Dress codes must be followed at all times. 12 Homework Policy Homework will vary by subject and be assigned as needed. Students are responsible for writing their assignments in their agenda. 13 Late and Missing Assignments Assignments not turn in on time will have points deducted for being late. 14 Water Policy Since PE Elective is outside part of the year, students are encouraged to bring water bottles to school; however, sports drinks are not allowed in PE or the classroom. 16 Curriculum We are delivering 6 th Grade Middle School Curriculum according to the pace and content of all Middle School 6 th Grade Programs. 20 Example of Curriculum Pace ELA II – Writing ELA II – Writing Reading comprehension is the main concept of 6 th Grade ELA. Students will focus on several novel studies. 21 Course Failure Students who fail to maintain a yearly average of 70 in a core class will be required to attend summer school. 22 Interventions and Tutorials Interventions for Tier III/SSI students will be held for Reading and Math during the school day. Students are assigned to these classes based on District criteria. 23 Supplies and Mobile Office We have asked students to build a “Mobile Office” which includes a 2” binder with a pencil bag to hold their agenda, subject notebooks and necessary writing utensils.
