7 Vision and Mission W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE Vision: Colorado will have the highly- qualified, diverse health care workforce it needs so that all Coloradans have access to the high quality care they need. Mission: The Colorado Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative will study, develop, and advocate for data- driven public policy to ensure that the state has the health professionals it needs.

11 History W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE The Colorado Trust’s Health Professions Initiative Three years (2005 – 2008) $10.2 million to 22 organizations To increase the number of health professionals across Colorado Evaluation results suggest more focused attention must be directed toward ensuring that delivery sites across the state are adequately staffed in all professional categories
