3 Introduction – about UCF Computer Services & Telecommunications 3 Established in 1963 in Orlando, Florida – SUS Main Campus is 1,415 acres with 180 buildings; located 13 miles east of downtown Orlando Metropolitan Research University - 60,890 students 1,965 faculty and 9,113 staff Academic Programs - 91 Bachelor’s, 86 Master’s, 3 Specialist, 30 PhD, 1 Professional (Medicine) 2012-2013 Operating Budget approximately $1.4 billion Second largest university in the United States Integrating PeopleSoft for Seamless IT Service Delivery

7 UCF has a large and complex IT environment with a working plan to sustain performance and manage growth. Remaining current with mandated regulations/updates, and application patches and security releases. Constant management of server infrastructure to support our ERP systems. Aim to upgrade every two years in order to keep pace with software changes and business requirements. 8 UCF & Oracle Partnership – Oracle support Working with Oracle Advanced Customer Service (ACS) provides opportunities and challenges. UCF combines on-site and remote services to accelerate results and effectively manage support and service requests. UCF and Oracle ACS collaborate to address configuration, application and system issues resulting in improved performance. UCF relies on ACS for expedited response and top-priority issue resolution. 9 ACS team was instrumental in our building application environments. ACS consultants provide insight about best practices that are applicable to our specific infrastructure, applications and versions. ACS consultants were able to help us create a security design to meet operational goals that we continue to refine and deploy. ACS deployed PeopleSoft Performance Monitor (PerfMon) instances to check our Quality Assurance and Production environments across five different applications. Documented installation, and maintenance to assist UCF going forward. 10 A Look Forward – the future PeopleSoft application continues to evolve and grow in step with the University. No other application on the market could handle the same integration with the scalability required by UCF. Self-Service has allowed the campus to support more students with less staff time; “Online not in line.” Ongoing partnership with ACS enables planning to sustain performance and prepare for change.
