3. A polygon is a shape that has three or more sides. Here are some examples of two dimensional polygons. Triangle Square Rectangle Pentagon Hexagon Octagon Do you see any polygons around you?

4. Here are some polygons that you may see in your environment. Can you name all the polygons?

5. Can you name the two polygons that were put together to make a new polygon? What is the name of the new polygon? A triangle and square put together make a pentagon. Two pentagons put together make a hexagon. Two triangles put together make a rectangle.

6. Congruent figures are shapes that are the same size and shape. Can you tell what shapes are congruent and what shapes are not congruent? Remember to properly name the shapes.
