2 Self-Registration As of September 2014, patrons may register for a PINES library card through the PINES web site at: http://gapines.org After a patron fills in the form, he or she must visit the library to show proof of ID and complete the registration process in order to pick up the new card. 3 Library users will click on the ‘Apply for a PINES Library Card’ link on the PINES catalog home page. Library Card Application Form Self-Registration

4 Patron completes the form.Patron submits the form.

5 After submitting the form, the patron will have two weeks (14 days) to visit the library to complete the application process before the application is deleted. The patron must bring proof of ID (following standard PINES policy). Library Card Application Form Self-Registration

6 When a patron comes to the library to complete his or her registration form, the library staff member will: 1.Open the list of pending patron applications. 2.Search to make sure the patron does not already have an account. 3.Complete the patron registration to issue the card. 8 1. Open the list of pending applications Self-Registration The Home Library will default to your local branch, but you may choose a different branch if the patron indicates that they chose a different one.

9 2. Search Self-Registration Open a new tab and search for the patron to be sure he or she does not already have an account. If another account is already present, update the existing account and delete the pending application (from the pending applications screen, select the pending application and click the Delete button).

10 3. Complete the patron registration form Self-Registration After confirming that the patron does not already have an account, return to the Pending Patrons screen and double-click on the patron’s name to open the form.
