3. The SERVANT - TEACHER Is a full member of the CLUB with SPECIFIC ROLE and RESPONSIBILITY, a PERSON who, with MERITS and FAULTS, SHARES the SAME WALK with the FAMILIES and TAKES the SAME COMITTMENTS INCLUDING ABSTINENCE Pellizza da Volpedo

The SERVANT - TEACHER Has ATTENDED a SENSIBILIZATION COURSE, attends the TRAINING and UPDATING EVENTS Has a COMPETENCE for ALCOHOL RELATED PROBLEMS FACILITATES and STIMULATES the DISCUSSION Contributes to maintain CONTACTS with the CLUB MEMBERS even outside the WEEKLY MEETING HE IS NOT the CLUBs BOSS

5. During the FIRST INTERVIEW with a NEW FAMILY : CREATES a POSITIVE CLIMATE STIMULATES a CONSTANT ATTENDANCE with ALL the FAMILY EXPLAINS how the CLUB WORKS, with RULES and HABITS RECOMMENDS that the WHOLE FAMILY ATTENDS soonest possible the LOCAL ALCOHOL SCHOOL of 1st Module The SERVANT - TEACHER

6. Is rendering a SERVICE to the FAMILIES Does NOT DEPEND on the Club Associations or on the PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS Takes part to the CLUB meetings without his/her own FAMILY If he/she has an history of Alcohol related problems, he/she must continue attending the Club where he/she belongs, together with the FAMILY The SERVANT - TEACHER

7. Takes part in the MONTHLY MEETINGS of the local SERVANT - TEACHERS Takes part in the UPDATING COURSES He/she is holding the LOCAL ALCOHOL SCHOOLS of 1st, 2nd and 3rd MODULE The SERVANT - TEACHER

8. EVERYONE CAN BECOME SERVANT - TEACHER BY ATTENDING a SENSIBILIZATION COURSE FOR ALCOHOL RELATED AND MIXED PROBLEMS

9. THE RELAPSE

10. SOMETIMES THE PATH to SOBRIETY IS INTERRUPTED by a RELAPSE

11. RELAPSE does not only mean RESUMING TO DRINK, but in particular means REVERTING to the previous life style Degas

12. The RELAPSE can be WET: RESUMING THE HABIT of the SUBSTANCE which created the ADDICTION and RESUMING the PREVIOUS LIFE STYLE DRY: MAINTAINING ABSTINENCE but RESUMING the PREVIOUS LIFE STYLE and DISCONTINUING the PROCESS of CHANGE

14. ALCOHOL is back in the house ONE or MORE MEMBERS RESUME DRINKING COMMUNICATION LOVE SOLIDARITY are missing The RELAPSE INVOLVES the FAMILY if:

15. The ATMOSPHERE is INTOLERANT, SUPERFICIAL and QUARRELING I dont care to make the report SHARING (EMPATHY), FRIENDSHIP, MUTUAL HELP are missing I think I shall discontinue this Enough! I dont see why I should bring all the family The RELAPSE CONCERNS the CLUB if:

He/she is not UPDATING HIM/HERSELF or not participating in the MONTHLY MEETING Feels like the CLUB BOSS He/she is not PREVENTING THE SUPERFICIAL DISCUSSIONS Remains NOT CONNECTED with the CLUB LIFE He/she is not AVAILABLE anymore to COMMUNICATE and remain TUNED with the CLUB members Becomes JUDGEMENTAL The RELAPSE CONCERNS the SERVANT – TEACHER if :

17. Greed of PERSONAL POWER Desire to be under the SPOTLIGHT Anxiety of SOCIAL ACHIEVEMENT Using the SERVICE as POWER The RELAPSE INVOLVES the ASSOCIATIONS (A.C.A.T, A.R.CA.T., A.I.C.A.T.) in case of: The ASSOCIATIONS must provide SERVICES to the CLUBS, not VICEVERSA!

18. The CRISIS, starting from the INDIVIDUAL, the FAMILY or the CLUB, can provoke the RELAPSE of the COMMUNITY. When the CLUB does not stimulate any longer the process of changing of the GENERAL CULTURE in the LOCAL COMMUNITY, the latter RESUMES the previous behaviour consisting of DISTRUST and UNCONFIDENCE towards the Club and the SOCIAL ECOLOGICAL APPROACH The RELAPSE concerns the COMMUNITY when:

19. an opportunity for a self EXAMINATION an opportunity to INCREASE SOLIDARITY and DEVELOP the FRIENDLY VISITS a STIMULATION to REVIEW the PROGRESS ACHIEVED SO FAR, and to RESUME it with more COMMITTMENT BUT the RELAPSE can represent for the WHOLE CLUB: The CLUB EXISTS for the FAMILIES having DIFFICULTIES and the RELAPSE is one of them

20. The FRIENDLY VISIT MEANS: TO BE CLOSE to the FAMILY in TROUBLES GO and see them CALL them SEEKING DIALOGUE TO BE THERE with a smile SAYING: HERE WE ARE !
