Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) Erection of an SBM can allow use of Very Large Crude Carriers or Ultra Large Crude Carriers to deliver cargo that can be offloaded through a sub- marinepipeline or onto smaller vessels for onward delivery to the refinery

16 Nairobi is home to 2 of the busiest airports in Africa – JKIA with a maximum runway capacity of 80,000 landing/takeoffs annually (currently doing 60,000) – Wilson Airport mainly serving domestic and regional destinations, accommodating 120,000 landings/takeoffs annually Air travel

17 JKIA Expansion Project Airport being expanded to include construction of new terminal, taxi ways, car park for 1500 cars, parking stands for aircraft increasing from 23 to 43 Project launched in 2006 and expected to be completed in 2009 Passenger numbers grew from 3.5 to 4.4 million last year with the number projected to reach over 9 million by 2024

18 Manpower Capacity Petroleum Training Institute University of Nairobi, Department of Geology to increase petroleum geology courses NAFFAC (National Fossil Fuels Advisory Committee) to advise Minister on the use of training fund levied from oil exploration companies
