3 What is H.323? H.323 is a standard that provides multimedia communication services real-time audio, video, and data communications over packet networks. Because H.323 is international standard for videoconferencing, you can communicate without considering any compatibility.

29 NetMeeting System RequirementsSystem Requirements –90MHz Pentium processor –16MB of RAM for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me and 24MB for Windows NT or later. –Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.01 or later –28,800 bps or faster modem, ISDN, or LAN connection. –4 MB of free hard disk space (an additional 10 MB is needed during installation only to accommodate the initial setup files). –Sound card with microphone and speakers (required for audio support).

30 NetMeeting To launch NetMeeting, use start menus run command line and type conf. Or just find the shortcut icon and click it.

31 Videoconferencing Using remote control, enter the IP address or choose from address book. Press Call/Hang Up button on remote control. - Calling from ViewStation -

32 Videoconferencing If you receive call from others, this window will pop up. If you want to videoconference, click Respond. - Receiving call (NetMeeting) -
