2 Title I School-wide Plans Need to be written in accordance with Title I, Section 1114. Template needs to align with the ten required components. Reviewed by Network Executive Director. 2

3 Ten Required Components of School-wide Programs 1. Comprehensive Needs Assessment 2. School-wide reform strategies 3. Instruction by highly qualified teachers 4. High-quality, ongoing professional development 5. Strategies to attract high-quality teachers to high-needs schools 3

4 Ten Required Components of School-wide Programs 6. Strategies to increase parent involvement 7. Plans for assisting preschool children in the transition from early childhood to elementary school programs 8. Measures to include teachers in the decisions regarding the use of academic assessments 4

Activities to ensure that students who experience difficulty mastering proficient or advanced levels of academic achievement standards are provided effective, timely additional assistance 10. 11 Title I Staffing Temporary Employee – Academic Services – No more than 19 hours per week – Approved by Human Capital – Complete contract template – Contract approved by the Legal Department – Services can begin. 11

12 Title I Staffing Schedules and Rosters completed at beginning of school year and revised as necessary. Off Schedule Report completed each month. Paraprofessionals must work under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher and complete Coordination of Effort form. 12

13 Title I Staffing Attestation – All school-wide personnel should be HQ. – Complete two Attestation forms on school letterhead. – Keep one signed Attestation at school and send the other signed Attestation to Title I by September 17, 2013. Title I Tuition Reimbursement for HQ 13
