Connection – Self, World, or Text This reminds me of something that happened to me… This reminds me of something happening in the world… This reminds me of something I read in a different book… I have a personal connection to this text. Do you? I remember being in competitions and I really wanted to win. I remember

8. cheering another person even though I was eliminated (taken out of the game). I understand the feelings Andy has. He wants to win but he is a good sport and congratulates his classmate for winning the competition. This is my personal connection with this story. What is yours?

I felt this way because he was a good sport. I have been in sports and seen some people react very poorly. It takes the fun out of it.
