Machiavelli Introduction and discussion HOMEWORK: Read Ch. 13 section 2, with notes for Wednesday. Objectives By the end of this lesson, you should: 1. Have seen examples of good note-taking forms. 2. Understand the key ideas in Machiavelli’s argument and know where you stand in relationship to these ideas.

4 Agenda 9/16/14: What was the Renaissance? Activities to accomplish 1. DQ 2. Machiavelli review 3. Where have we been so far? 4. Paper prompt Homework: Textbook reading and notes. Ch.13 section 2 Objectives By the end of this lesson, you should: 1. Understand the main arguments of Machiavelli and how he fits in with the Renaissance. 2. Be able to review the main concepts we have studied thus far in this unit.

Be able to describe the part played by Gutenberg in the spread of Renaissance (and Reformation) ideas.
