(Eight bars: eight counts of music)
High discipline showed by holding arms by your side
Done solo, in pairs or in groups
Types of dance: jigs, hornpipe and reels (difference depends on speed and the bars)
Use two different pairs of shoes
Hard shoes (made with fiberglass) are mainly for jigs, the noises make rhythms
Soft shoe (made of black leather) are used for all types of dance, they are flexible and do not make noise
