1 Using and Creating Unified Field Charts
Supporting The Enlightened Intellect

2 Wholeness The Unified Field chart is one of the primary tools of Consciousness-Based Education for supporting students’ development of self-referral performance and higher states of consciousness. Recent changes (August, 2006) in the chart emphasize the eight-fold structure of creation and the growth of invincibility in individual and collective consciousness.

3 “In any field of study, it is always the same source of order that is the ultimate field of study—that is the field of Transcendental Consciousness, the ocean from which all disciplines stream, which is our Self. By connecting the objective discipline to the subjective growth of consciousness, the whole field of knowledge becomes intimate to the student's life; without this approach, study of the discipline will not easily touch the life of the student: ‘What is the connection of this to everything else, and to me?’”

8 Continuing Features The charts includes…
The step-by-step transformation of unity into diversity. The three-in-one structure of the field. The “structure” of a discipline so that students can find where they are in a given course on a given day. A reminder that all this is nothing but that. A reminder of the relationship between knowledge and personal and national invincibility.

9 New Features The new chart…
Has the subjective side of the chart on the left. Shows the diversification of knowledge and consciousness in eight steps. Shows where invincibility resides. Has the elements getting more in number as we move up the chart (the 3 x 3 grid is no longer appropriate). Does not include Vedic Science terminology for the beginning students in the early years (there are two versions of each chart). Ideally has formulae at each of the eight levels

11 Plan for Creating New Charts
Take an existing chart that you want to upgrade or a new subject that you want to make into a chart and form a team. Each department should have at least one team. Each team meets every couple of weeks until the chart is done, in time to present a finished draft by December 17th for Dr. Morris and others. Each chart can be done in any form, electronic or hand, and will be given to a few chart editors who will create the final products.

12 Process of Knowing Knower Known Level 7 Level 6 Level 5 Level 4 Level 3 Level 2 Level 1 Unified Field of All the Laws of Nature

13 The Result: Each department will have at least one chart in the new format for use in its courses.

14 Review of Key Department Achievements
Mission statement for program(s)—last year Goals and objectives for program(s)—last year Curriculum map—last year Assessment plan (with key indicators of program effectiveness)—ongoing Strategic plan for and beyond—last July Publication of mission, objectives and map on the website— this academic year Creation of new Unified Field Charts—by December, 2011

15 Unity Chart The Role of the Unified Field Chart at Maharishi University of Management
A Unified Field Chart provides a systems view of a discipline of study, from its origins to its effects, and can be used by the faculty to keep the students awareness focused on the whole. A Unified Field Chart develops our ability to synthesize parts into wholes and diminishes the ‘mistake’ of fragmented knowledge. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Transcendental Consciousness is the source of every discipline. Impulses within the Transcendental Field: The impulses of the Transcendental Field maintain the order and evolution of all elements of the discipline. Wholeness Moving Within Itself: In Unity Consciousness, all the parts of knowledge are spontaneously known and experienced as waves of the unbounded ocean of consciousness, the wholeness of the Self.
