2 New paving block that absorbs traffic pollution

3 Nitrogen Oxide (Nox) are the exhaust gases from automobiles Nitrogen Oxide (Nox) are the exhaust gases from automobiles Noxer is a new environmentally friendly concrete paving block developed to remove (Nox) from the air at the roadside Noxer is a new environmentally friendly concrete paving block developed to remove (Nox) from the air at the roadside Contains Titanium oxide Contains Titanium oxide The only energy source it uses is sunlight The only energy source it uses is sunlight Most effective if used in heavy traffic areas Most effective if used in heavy traffic areas Strength and slipping resistance are equal to standard interlocking blocks Strength and slipping resistance are equal to standard interlocking blocks A wide variety of shapes and colors are available A wide variety of shapes and colors are available

4 How does it work? The paving works by setting up a photocatalytic reaction between titanium dioxide contained at the top 15 mm of the block and ultraviolet radiation from the sun. The paving works by setting up a photocatalytic reaction between titanium dioxide contained at the top 15 mm of the block and ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Active Oxygen has a high oxidation efficiency and oxidizes NO(x) in the air into nitric acid Active Oxygen has a high oxidation efficiency and oxidizes NO(x) in the air into nitric acid The nitric acid is then washed away by rain to allow more reactions The nitric acid is then washed away by rain to allow more reactions The reaction works both in dry and wet conditions The reaction works both in dry and wet conditions
