5 Why do we need to show impact? 1.Public expenditure is precious … and the case for research needs to be made 2.Universities should contribute to economic & social life … and in our mission we stress ‘research of international excellence and impact’ 3.We need to demonstrate evidence of the outcomes and impact of research … and we have a good story to tell at Bath
