Microsoft is currently working with PC manufacturers to ensure that the following Windows® XP systems (shipping in 2005) will offer a comparable performance and graphic experience on Windows Vista: “Designed for Windows® XP” 32-bit PC systems with most mainstream processors currently shipping, 512 MB of RAM and Windows XP operating system. “Designed for Windows® XP x64 Edition” 64-bit PC systems with selected processors, 512 MB of RAM and Windows® XP x64 Edition operating system.
