1 Top Ten Reason Why Students Like Stillwater Junior High School 10.Stillwater Junior High School has a long history of service to others. Whether it’s raising $5000.00 to build a well in a poverty-stricken Sudan, bringing holiday gifts to children involved in the local Head Start program, participating in Pennies for Patients or food drives the SJHS community is compassionate and generous. 9.We are proud of our record of energy efficiency in our building. SJHS continues to lead the district in responsible use of precious resources. 8.We are proud of our recycling program. Not only do we recycle paper, aluminum and plastic, be we also have partnered with a local farmer and recycle food scraps from lunch.

2 Top Ten Reason Why Students Like Stillwater Junior High School 7.We like that students of all interests and abilities can take part in athletic opportunities. Some students like to get a chance to try a new sport and learn the basics. Others see junior high school as the start of becoming a Pony. Regardless of skill level, SJHS welcomes all athletes. 6.SJHS is well known for its support of the arts. Our award-winning music program is well known throughout the Midwest. Our art program and video production programs continue to thrive and it’s appropriate that our building has become the home of the Da Vinci Fest! 5.Besides athletics and the music program, I like that SJHS has so many clubs and other opportunities to get involved. Drama, stock market, the newspaper, science club, and a bunch of other organizations are available to students who wish to become involved outside of the school day.

3 Top Ten Reason Why Students Like Stillwater Junior High School 4.We have smart students who take challenging classes and do well on standardized tests. In this school there are many opportunities for those who want to learn and do their best. With honors programs, AP opportunities and interesting electives available, SJHS students make the most of their time here. 3.The caring, supportive and professional staff at SJHS makes this a great school for us. We like coming to school everyday. 2.We like the fact that SJHS offers a safe and caring environment for the students. Students who come here know that they are in good hands and that they will be treated respectfully. They know that they’ll learn and benefit from being here.

4 Top Ten Reason Why Students Like Stillwater Junior High School 1.SJHS has an involved, active student body. We like being here. We like being involved. We like our teachers and our teachers like us. This is a goods place to be, and we are proud of that.
